During July & August Rabbi Steinberg will lead Torah study on an investigation of the Reform erev shabbat service. We will look at the halachic structure of an erev shabbat service and the liturgical changes from the Union Prayer Book (UPB) through Gates of Prayer and  Mishkan Tefilah. Which siddur is most comfortable? We will read and discuss the text of much of the service., followed by a discussion of which text people prefer and which ideas in the service are most appealing?
